In the Japanese city of Narashino, a resident found meteorite debris near his home. The object was spotted above the Earth in early June.

He handed over the fragments to the scientists who would study it.

The light over Tokyo was observed on July 2. The cosmic body flew into the sky and then disappeared. Specialists were looking for the parts.

The analysis showed that the meteorite contains the isotopes of aluminum, manganese, and sodium, which appear when in contact with cosmic rays.

Upon entering the atmosphere, the object was 1.6 meters in diameter and weighed 5.5 pounds. Only 63 and 70-gram fragments reached Earth.
