The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan has issued a statement reporting intensive continuous shooting performed by Armenia on the Azerbaijani village of Tartar.

"Armenia demonstrates the violation of international humanitarian law by using terrorist means against civilians by firing people of Tartar city.

Responding to the new act of aggression by Armenia, the Azerbaijani Armed Forces, carrying out counter-offensive measures, declare that they do not wage war against civilians, women, and children counter-attacks within the framework of international humanitarian law. The actions of the Armenian side, contrary to international law, demonstrate that the country uses all means, including war crimes, to achieve new plans of aggression.

We call on the international community to strongly condemn Armenia's war crimes against civilians," reads the statement. 

The parties hold each other responsible for the created situation. According to the Minister of Defense of Azerbaijan, the Azerbaijani army broke through the enemy's defense and liberated seven villages from occupation.

A state of emergency has been declared in Azerbaijan and Armenia over the escalation of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

On September 27, the situation on the border between Armenia and Azerbaijan became extremely tense. The parties report military clashes and casualties. According to the Azerbaijani media, a large-scale attack got carried out by Armenia this morning, resulting in death.
