New York Mayor Bill de Blasio also called on the governor to resign.
On March 11, the New York State House of Legislature committee began proceedings to assess whether there was sufficient reason to strip Cuomo of his powers as governor.
Many members of the state committee spoke in favor of his impeachment. Cuomo himself denies the accusations against him.
