The President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, has declared November 8 as Victory Day instead of November 10. The administration of the President spreads information about the changes.
The statement said that by the decree of December 2, 2020, the President of Azerbaijan declared November 10 as Victory Day, but this day marks the day of remembrance of the founder of the Republic of Turkey, a significant figure whose name is written in golden letters in the history of the Turkish world, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk. This is why Ilham Aliyev declared November 8 as a Victory Day.
On November 8, the Azerbaijani army liberated the city of Shusha so that Victory Day will be celebrated on this day.
