Brazil President Jair Bolsonaro accused the actor and the environment protection activist, Leonardo DiCaprio in financing the Amazon rainforest fire.
"DiCaprio is a cool guy, isn't he?" Bolsonaro said in Brasilia. "Giving money to set the Amazon on fire."
According to him, the actor is a participant of the international campaign the surge of Brazil’s forest fires.
This statement by the president was made after the detainment of four firemen accused in supporting the fire spread.
According to the investigation reports the four volunteer firefighters who were accused of setting Amazon rainforest fires in an attempt "to obtain funding from sympathetic donors." The volunteers denied the allegations and were ultimately released.
