The grandson of the Queen of Great Britain, Elizabeth II, Duke of Cambridge, William is thinking about modernizing the system in the country, US Weekly reports.
The 39-year-old prince has been thinking about the future of the monarchy for a long time, even though he is second in line to the throne after his father, Charles.
Sources say that although William respects protocol and traditions, he sees his mission in establishing closer ties with the people.
"He and Kate have created a healthy balance between openness and mystery. He admits that being in the center of attention is part of his job, and that is all right," the source said.
