The President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, has signed the decree on distant voting, informs Russian media.
The decree considers the distant voting process on the federal and local elections. It is noteworthy that the voting polls will still be operating, and those who wish may vote in the old way.
The mentioned changes cover the possibility of voting in cases of referendums.
Allegedly, the reason for the new decree introduction is coronavirus infection spread.
The practice has been exercised before, for instance, it was practiced in some of the polls during the election of 2019.
As a reminder: The number of infected people increased by 9,434 and the death toll by 3,388 in the last 24 hours. The total number of infected people is 335,882.
