COVID-19 spread at the Ascension Convent in Kyiv. According to Vitali Klitschko, the Mayor of the Ukrainian capital, 26 nuns got infected. The quarantine regime announced at the monastery.

Eight nuns admitted to the hospital over the weekend.

"Currently, the monastery is closed, the disinfection procedure is underway," Klitschko said.

The number of people infected with coronavirus in Ukraine increased by 340 in one day, while another 10 patients died. The press service of the Ministry of Health of the country spreads information about the updated data.

According to the Ministry, there are a total of 24 012 confirmed cases in the country. The virus killed 718 patients, and the number of those recovered reaches 9 690.
