"Brotherly Azerbaijan has achieved a historic victory in 44 days under President Ilham Aliyev's leadership," Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said in a telephone address to Turkish military personnel at the joint Turkish-Russian center of the ceasefire in Karabakh, Aghdam region.
Erdoğan once again congratulated the Azerbaijani Army on the liberation of Nagorno-Karabakh and surrounding areas from the Armenian occupation.
"The people of Turkey are no less happy with the victory of Azerbaijan than the Azerbaijanis themselves. It is the source of our pride as well!" Turkish leader added.
Erdoğan noted that Turkish troops attending a victory parade in Azerbaijan on December 10 were met with the same joy as "the Islamic Army of the Caucasus, which cleared the lands of Azerbaijan of Armenian soldiers and Bolsheviks 102 years ago."
