The authorities of Thailand are appealing to retirees to return to work temporarily in medical facilities. Wissanu Krea-ngam, the Prime Minister of the country, made the statement today.
"The government allocated a special budget for retired doctors who will return to work to combat the epidemic," he said.
Such a measure will be necessary if the third phase of the epidemic begins when it is no longer possible to detect the source of the infection, and the coronavirus spreads more actively.
The Prime Minister noted that there is a second phase in Thailand, and the government controls it.
