Russia to celebrate the Victory Day under COVID restrictions

Russia celebrated the 75th victory over fascism in Moscow under restrictions today amid coronavirus pandemic. Moscow streets are closed, and the traffic is restricted. Due to the rapid spread of the virus in the country, the government decided not to organize the victory parade.

Russian President Vladimir Putin laid a wreath at the memorial of the unknown soldier.

“United, we are undefeatable,” - said Vladimir Putin.

Around half a million people attended the Victory Parade in Moscow last year.

This year only helicopters participated in the parade. Seventy-five Su-25 type jets leaving the smoke of Russian flag colors flew over the Moscow sky in commemoration of the 75th anniversary of the Victory over fascism.
