Sergey Lavrov, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia, said after a visit to Baku that the issue of handing over maps of mined territories to Azerbaijan was discussed in Yerevan, Azerbaijani media writes.
"We are for all humanitarian issues to be resolved as quickly as possible and without preconditions, in particular, the issues regarding mines.
We discussed this issue in Yerevan. It seemed to me that the Armenian leadership has an understanding that this issue needs to be addressed. And the first steps were taken. I have informed the Azerbaijani leadership about this. We hope that this problem will be tackled shortly and fully resolved," Sergey Lavrov stated.
