Solar-powered capsules developed for homeless in Germany

Solar-powered capsules have been developed for the homeless in Germany. It is a modern living space with thermal insulation, oxygen level, temperature, and smoke sensors. When low temperatures are detected inside, the sensors activate the heating system, and if smoke is detected, the ventilation system will switch. The frame of the building is made of wood and surrounded by an insulating layer. It does not allow moisture to penetrate.

There is a radio link for communication between people living in capsules. The capsule can communicate with social workers so that they can call for help. The municipality has spent about 35 000 euros to create such capsules. Their operation costs about 6 000 euros.
