The Prime Minister of Sweden, Magdalena Andersson, has announced that new restrictions will be imposed in the country due to the record level of COVID-19 spread.

They will launch on January 14th.

Citizens who have the opportunity to do so will work from home. The gathering of more than eight people in restaurants and bars is prohibited, and these establishments will be closed at 23:00 local time.

The Prime Minister called on the population to get vaccinated.

During the pandemic, more than 1.4 million cases of coronavirus were detected in Sweden, and more than 15 000 people died.
