A Russian citizen Egor Kriuchkov is accused of attempting a cyber-attack on Tesla energy company, writes Deutsche Welle.

Reportedly, Egor Kriuchkov, aiming at spreading the virus in Tesla-owned computer, attempted the bribery of a Tesla staff. The Russian citizen was arrested in Los Angeles on August 22. Kruchkov was charged with the crime by Nevada State Federal Court on September 4.

The U.S. Justice Department spreads the statement that reads that the Russian citizen intended to smuggle the company’s information and to blackmail the company using the stolen information. The company staff was offered one million USD for the cooperation, though the person rejected it and addressed the FBI for help.
