The challenges of air pollution discussed in Geneva
The 40th-anniversary UNECE Convention on Long-range Transboundary Air Pollution was marked in Geneva. The high-rank environment officials from the World countries participated in the event. Nino Tandilashvili, Deputy Minister of Environment Protection and Agriculture, also participated in it.
She shared the challenges that Georgia is facing with regard to air pollution, as well as the progress that the country managed to achieve in the sphere of pollution reduction. The Deputy Minister talked on the environmental projects and the air pollution mainstreaming urgency. Nino Tandliashvili emphasized the importance of air pollution awareness raising on national and international levels.
