According to the data from the Internal Ministry, the crime rate for March 14-31 this year is 73.8% lower than that of the previous year.

The current year, law enforcers report 19.7 thousand cases of crime, while the report for the same period of 2019 counts 75 thousand cases. Law enforcers reported sixty thousand cases of crime right before introducing the state of emergency.

Hence, this year eighty-one cases of crime are registered in March, which is thirty-eight cases less than in 2019.

The lowest rate of decrease is reported in Madrid, which has mostly suffered from coronavirus epidemic. Here the crime rate down by 84%.
