Ordinary People and Independent Personalities Party of Slovakia has won the Parliamentary elections of February 29 in Slovakia. They possess 25% of the votes, while the ruling party managed to gain 18.4% of votes.

The Prime Minister, Peter Pellegrini, has already congratulated the opponents with the victory.

“Marketing only helps to obtain the power, though it is not enough for ruling the country,” – said Pellegrini

Slovakia has a unicameral parliament with 150 mandates. Twenty-four political parties compete for the parliament membership.

Reportedly, the current year Parliamentary elections are the most unpredictable, since there is no clear favorite. Though, based on the February inquiry, the ruling party, Course Social Democracy, is leading with the little priority. The party has been ruling since 2006.
