Three COVID-certificates to be valid in EU

Starting from July 1, the EU will introduce three types of coronavirus certificates. One will contain information about vaccinations, the other about recovery from the disease, and the third about testing. Didier Reynders, the European Commissioner for Legal Affairs, announced the information at a briefing in Brussels.

"From July 1, three types of certificates will be available: vaccination, negative test result, and recovery from COVID. They will be free for all EU citizens. Certificates can be received electronically or in print," he said.

The European Commission will allocate 100 million euros for these purposes. It will make the tests required for COVID certifications available to citizens.

The leaders of EU countries have agreed to introduce electronic certificates of vaccination. Covid passports will be effective in the EU from July 1.
