The President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, and the Russian President, Vladimir Putin, had telephone communication. The countries’ first persons discussed the development in the Idlib Province, and ways of de-escalation. The parties agreed to discuss the issue in a face-to-face meeting.
Russia and Turkey had consultations in Ankara on February 27-28, where, according to the Russian Foreign Minister, the parties achieved agreement on de-escalation of the situation in Syria.
The Turkish representative says they are not planning to give away Syria. Turkey plans to increase the military budget for the expansion of Syrian territory control. Turkey will do it without harming its relations with Russia.
Recep Tayyip Erdogan summoned Vladimir Putin to leave the Syrian government face-to-face with Ankara. “We are not leaving the country unless Syrian people ask us to do it. I told Putin to leave us face-to-face with the Syrian government, and we will d what has to be done.” – said, Erdogan.
