According to the Republican Seismic Survey Center of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, the epicenter was reported at 05:26 local time, 28 kilometers east of Gala Station in the Caspian Sea.
A 3.1 magnitude earthquake occurred at a depth of 62 kilometers.
Another earthquake was recorded at 05:18 local time in Mingachevir district, 21 kilometers northwest of Mingachevir station. The three magnitude earthquake occurred at a depth of 14 km and could not be felt.
