The first coronavirus vaccine developer, founder of the BioNTech pharmaceutical company Ugur Sahin says the pandemic will be under full control by the end of summer 2021.
It says his company can manufacture multiple doses to help the world.
In Sahin’s words, 1.3 billion doses of the COVID-19 vaccine are planned to be produced currently, and the manufacturing range will experience expansion further.
The COVID-19 vaccine developed by Pfizer and BioNTech has not been approved or licensed by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA), but it received emergency use permission.
Vaccinations will be available to US citizens above 16 years old.
The vaccination procedure has already begun in the UK with a drug developed by Pfizer / BioNTech.
