"COVID-19 will not be the last pandemic humanity faces. In response to this health crisis, we need to be prepared for the next one," UN Secretary-General António Guterres said in a statement issued on the occasion of "International Day of Epidemic Preparedness."
He said that this issue should be given attention.
"As we respond to this health crisis, we need to prepare for the next one. On this International Day of Epidemic Preparedness, let’s give this issue the focus, attention and investment it deserves," he wrote on Twitter.
