The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the State Department have warned residents not to travel to Spain, Portugal, Kyrgyzstan, and Cyprus as cases of COVID-19 infection increase in those countries; Reuters reports.
The agency recalls that Spain opened its borders to U.S. tourists in June and has since become a popular tourist destination for Americans.
Also, Americans are not advised to travel to Cuba, while Armenia has a third level of warning, which means that unvaccinated travelers should avoid entering the country. The third level was also awarded to Israel, which had the lowest status on June 1.
