Uzbekistan has supported the formation of an interim government in Afghanistan, Anadolu news agency writes.
"We hope this decision will be the first step towards a comprehensive national agreement, peace, and stability in the country," says the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan statement.
The ministry expressed readiness to develop "constructive dialogue" and "practical cooperation" with the new Afghan government formed by the Taliban.
The Taliban has announced the formation of an interim government in Afghanistan. According to Taliban spokesman Zabiullah Mujahid, the interim government will be headed by Mullah Hasan Akhund.
The radical movement "Taliban" took the capital of Afghanistan, Kabul, on August 15.
