Vaccination against the coronavirus may become mandatory in Italy, Bloomberg writes.

Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi said that 80% of the population would be vaccinated against the coronavirus by the end of September.

Today, 7 out of every ten citizens in the country over the age of 12 are vaccinated.

Health Minister Roberto Speranza noted that vaccination is already mandatory for medical workers, and this requirement will be extended to representatives of other professions.

The Minister also noted that since the end of September, the health care system plans to introduce the so-called "booster" doses.

Unvaccinated Italian citizens have limited access to restaurants, museums, cinemas, airplanes, and intercity trains.
