The UK National Health Service will issue vaccination passports from 17 May, The Times reports.

British citizens will have to use vaccination passports to travel abroad.

The vaccination certificate will be uploaded to the smartphone app and can only be used by those who have had both vaccine doses.

To use the app, UK residents must register online at least two weeks before traveling abroad. They can obtain a paper certificate as well.

Currently, 67% of the population (35.5 million people) had the first dose of the coronavirus vaccine.

And the percentage of fully vaccinated is 34% (17.9 million people).
