A painting by Dutch impressionist Vincent van Gogh, "The Bridge of Trinquetaille" (1888), sold for $ 39 million at Christie's in New York, the web page of the auction house spreads the information.
The original cost of the painting was $ 34 million, and with all the additional costs involved, the buyer had to pay $ 39.29 million.
According to the auctioneer, Van Gogh created this work during the most productive period of his creative life.
The drawing will be available at the Detroit Institute of the Arts from 2022 to 2023.
