Molecular biologists use viral vectors to inject vaccine antigens into cells. The virus has been modified in such a way that the risk is minimized.
The results of the interim study will be known in a few weeks.
If the interim results are positive, a limited amount of the vaccine will be available by the end of this year.
Novavax
Country: US
The type of vaccine is a protein-based vaccine.
Virus-like particles, such as the empty shell of a virus, can mimic the structure and action without being infected because they do not have the genetic material of the virus.
If the third phase of the study is successful, the vaccine will be available in bulk in the second half of next year.
