The Washington administration has presented a strategy to fight US corruption, including at the transnational level.
According to the White House, the strategy reflects an approach to intensifying the fight.
"Particular attention is paid to better understanding and responding to the transnational dimension of the threat," the statement said.
The new strategy is based on five key elements: modernizing, coordinating, and providing resources for the US government's anti-corruption efforts; Prevention of illegal financing; Prosecuting corrupt individuals; Maintaining and strengthening the multifaceted anti-corruption architecture; Improving diplomatic interaction and mobilizing foreign aid resources to achieve anti-corruption policy goals.
