Director-General of the World Health Organization Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus asks countries with doses of coronavirus vaccines to donate ‘as many as they can.’
He wrote this on his Twitter page.
“I’m asking countries with doses of COVID-19 vaccines that have WHO Emergency Use Listing to donate as many doses as they can, and I’m asking manufacturers to help ensure these countries can rapidly donate those doses. We have only 15 days left to deliver on Vaccine Equity!”
He also noted that the COVAX program is in emergency need of ten million vaccine doses.
