A rare painting by Winston Churchill sold for £ 3 983,000 at auction in London. The drawing shows that one of the most prominent participants in World War II in Britain was very fond of the Johnnie Walker whiskey brand, and he turned it into a portrait.

The piece features a Johnnie Walker whiskey bottle with a black label, a cognac bottle, a jug, and glasses.

According to Sotheby's auctioneers, the painting sold five times more expensive than expected.

It is known that Churchill was an amateur artist. He created "Jugs and Bottles" in his cottage in the 1930s. He loved the whiskey of this brand very much and drank it with soda water in the morning.
