Positive trends in business 2019 Evaluation by Business Association

The main challenges of 2019 were: political instability, national currency depreciation, and additional business regulations. Despite the triple constraints, the economic showed 4.5% growth, which is not so bad if taking into account the existing problems. It is the evaluation by Levan Vepkhvadze, Director of Business Association.

The export of 2019 has increased, which, according to Levan Vepkhvadze, is the result of governmental support to concrete companies and the availability of finance.

He also believes that positive change is the result of free trade and open markets for Georgian products. The Director of the Business Association underlines the importance of infrastructural programs implemented by the government in the country’s economic development. He thinks that should there be no infrastructure-related expenses; the economic growth will correspondingly be lower.

It is interesting what are we to expect in 2020?!
