Claim filed after Mother Sosana's rights were allegedly infringed

The former head of St Nino Monastery, Mother Sosana, and aspiring nun Nino have so far been denied access to their personal belongings in the monastery.

The eparchy chiefs told them that they would be entitled to taking their belongings in the presence of law enforcement officers.

A member of the Women Movement, Tsabunia Vartagava, who has already been questioned at the Martvili Police Department, has filed a lawsuit for alleged encroachment on Mother Sosana's rights.

Religious leaders and clerics, including mother Sosana, hope that they will respond to the case adequately.

''I have tried twice to reach a consensus and take my personal belongings; however, there is no room for justice in the church anymore, and they breach all laws. Hopefully, the government will adhere to the law,'' Mother Sosana said.

Stephane Kalaijishvili, the Metropolitan bishop of the Chkondidi Dioses, terminated Mother Sosana's authority.
