Detainees accused of assaulting Georgian Dream member remanded in custody

Four detainees involved in the incident of physical assault on Georgian Dream member Temur Shubitidze have been remanded in custody.

The prosecution required that detainees be remanded in custody, for prosecutor Tamar Bezhuasvili claimed that the defendants could have destroyed evidence, hidden or re-offended. The defendants' lawyers asked that their clients be remanded on bail.

On Sept. 30, Georgian Dream member Temur Shubitidze was assaulted in Zemo Ponichala, the Marneuli highway.
