Okruashvili sentenced to imprisonment over Buta Robakidze's case

Former Interior Minister Irakli Okruashvili has reportedly been sentenced to imprisonment, with the verdict having been delivered by Judge Arsen Kalatozishvili.

As regards former General Prosecutor Zurab Adeishvili, the date of his pre-trial hearing has been determined at today's court session, with it set to be held on Jan 9, at 12:00. 

The Chief Prosecutor's Office of Georgia pressed charges against Irakli Okruashvili and Zurab Adeishvili over Buta Robakidze's case on Nov 9. 

The former top officials have been accused of abuse of power, with the offence envisaging from 3 to 8 years of prison sentence.
