"We will do our best to create all kinds of discomfort for the Russian delegation while working at the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe," Kakaber Kuchava, the Deputy Chairperson of the Parliament said after the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe did not support the proposal of Ukraine and partner countries and fully restored the authority of the Russian delegation.
"This decision was preceded by a decision by the Council of Ministers. However, we tried to do our best until the end. It was unfortunate that the final decision was in their favor, especially after the shameful speeches they made," Kuchava said.
Russia received backing from the Council of Europe's assembly to have its voting rights restored with 96 in favor and 44 against.
