UNM Chairman Nika Melia will meet Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili. The meeting is set to be held next week.
"I will go to the meeting with great pleasure. It will show very soon where the process will take us. This process will take place together with the hunger strike, though. Mikheil Saakashvili cannot be kept behind bars,'' Melia stressed.
UNM Chairman Nika Melia said earlier that more than 300 people have already declared a mass hunger strike, with the list of hunger-striking citizens being drawn up.''I am confident many more are yet to be involved in this,'' Melia told Mtavari Arkhi (the Main Channel).
''We are declaring a mass hunger strike today,'' UNM Chairperson Nika Melia said at the Rustaveli rally site.
Melia stressed that the hunger strike will continue before ex-pres. Mikheil Saakashvili is freed.
