Georgia has recorded 1,833 recoveries, and now the number of recovered coronavirus patients stands at 28,633.
The country reported 1,943 coronavirus cases in the past 24 hours to bring the total tally to 44,522, according to stopCov.ge.
The coronavirus death toll has risen to 362 after 20 patients died in a single day.
Georgia confirmed its first case of the novel virus on 26 February 2020. The WHO labeled the coronavirus a pandemic on 11 March 2020. The virus outbreak started in China in December of 2019. China confirmed the new coronavirus was contagious on 21 January and declared quarantine in its two cities.
