According to a statement published on the official website of the Novosibirsk State Academic Theater of Opera and Ballet, the contract of Georgian prima ballerina Nino Ananiashvili has been terminated.
The meeting between the artistic director of the theater Vladimir Kekhman and Nino Ananiashvili, took place today.
"As a result of negotiations and agreement between the parties, it has been decided to terminate the agreement," the statement said.
On January 9, the theater release a statement. The theater management believed that to announce the name of the leader before the official introduction to the team was an extreme degree of disrespect for the troupe's artists. The final decision was to be made after the meeting of Ananiashvili with Vladimir Kekhman, the Director general of the Novosibirsk Opera and Ballet Theatre.
On January 6, it became known that Ananiashvili would lead the Novosibirsk Theater.
