Ilham Aliyev: Multi-year conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan ends

The President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, addressed the population. As the President said, he is confident that the agreement on Nagorno-Karabakh will bring lasting peace.

"I am happy that today the long-standing conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan is over, the occupation of Azerbaijani lands is coming to an end. By agreeing on important positions, we have achieved a settlement of the conflict, which in my opinion, responds to interests of Azerbaijani and Armenian people, as well as the region," said Ilham Aliyev.

Before Aliyev's statement, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan wrote on social media that he signed an agreement with the presidents of Russia and Azerbaijan to end hostilities in Nagorno-Karabakh.
