Irakli Mukbaniani, who was detained after his alleged assault on a police officer at the Anti-Namakhvani HPP rally site, has been officially charged.
Mukbaniani now faces the charges of assaulting a police officer.
Perpetrators of similar offenses are sent to jail for four to seven years.
