The US biotechnology company Moderna Inc, which is working to create a vaccine against COVID-19, said the drug protects against a new type of coronavirus for at least three months, the company reports.
It says 30,000 volunteers of various age groups participated in clinical trials of the vaccine.
The scholars found that immunity (antibodies) to coronavirus lasts for 119 days since the vaccination first dose, and after the second dose, antibodies remain in the body for another 90 days.
The coronavirus vaccine's effectiveness was 94.1% in the initial analysis.
Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission, said that the EU would receive 160 million doses of vaccine from Moderna.
