Supermarkets without personnel opened in several villages of Sweden. The author of the idea is Emma Nelson and her husband, the owners of the trading business. They decided to change the form of the work.
They organized groceries using several carriers that enabled them to transport the groceries from one place to another. The customers choose the needed products and pay through smartphones.
Supermarkets have a special mobile application with a list of products and prices. The customers open the carriers by this application and buy products.
“Initially, this novelty seemed very unusual. Customers are not used to the shops where no one tells them ‘hello,’ but people got used to the trading of this kind quite soon. We have around 400 customers a day,” – told the author of the idea to journalists.
Business experts assessed the project as “the future of retail.”
