The MIA has reportedly detained 18 individuals on Rustaveli Avenue. As the statement by the body reads, entrances to the parliament have been unblocked, with the barriers outside the building dismantled.

"In the midst of protests outside the parliament, The Ministry of Internal Affairs has apprehended 18 individuals since they have committed offences envisaged in the Code of Administrative Offences," reads the statement by MIA. 

According to the body, the streets in the vicinity of the parliament and Rustaveli Avenue itself are being cleaned, with the traffic flow set to be restored soon. For the purposes of ensuring public safety, the representatives of the MIA units have remained at the protest site. 

 And finally,  in its statement, the MIA warns all citizens to adhere to the law; otherwise the corresponding measures against law-breakers will be taken immediately.
