"Out of the total number of infected people in Georgia, about 15% are adolescents; we are talking about 103 927 children and adolescents under 18," the head of the Center for Disease Control, Amiran Gamkrelidze, stated at the briefing held at the government administration after the meeting of the Coordination Council.
"6 979 of them needed hospital treatment and, unfortunately, we had nine fatal cases. If we do not count three infants, in all other cases, there was a concomitant, severe genetic disease," said Amiran Gamkrelidze.
