Amiran Gamkrelidze, the director of the Center for Disease Control, does not rule out the possibility of immunization of children under 12 in Georgia, as well as in other countries.
At this stage, Georgia is waiting for the WHO recommendation to involve children in the immunization process.
"If immunization of children and adolescents is not carried out, there will be no end of the pandemic. Children transmit the infection.
We will make the final decision following the WHO, and the decision will be announced at the end of September," Gamkrelidze said.
