"There is a lot of international scientific research on booster doses in the world, and most likely, a third booster dose will probably be needed. One view is that coronavirus infection may become a seasonal infection that will require one injection per year as well as during the flu. At this stage, people vaccinated twice are being monitored for how long their immunity is maintained, and observations are being made. My personal opinion is that perhaps we will need a third dose to build a stronger artificial immunity in the population. There is no set period for the third booster dose to be taken - the booster dose should be used above 6 to 8 months. Relevant supplies should be created, but the country has time until then," Gamkrelidze said.
