Attaché of the Federal Bureau of Investigation of the US Embassy, Heather Berg, visited the Expert-Criminalistic Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Sergo Dzagnidze, the Director of the Forensic Department, and Rebecca Hunt, Director of the US Embassy's Office of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement (INL), attended the introductory meeting.
The parties discussed US-funded projects and priorities for future cooperation to strengthen the capacity of the forensic department.
The guests got acquainted with the specifics of the department's work on the spot and viewed: Biological examination, examination of drugs and pharmaceuticals, ballistic examination, dactyloscopy examination, habitoscopic, photo-video, and computer-technical examination, and other laboratories.
