Turkish company Polatyol & Mapa and Azerbaijani company Akkord Georgia transferred a total of $ 45,000 to a special fund set up by the Georgian government (StopCov Foundation). The Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia revealed the information about the transfer. According to the agency, international contractor companies working on the projects of the Ministry also purchased medical equipment to support Georgia in the fight against the new coronavirus.
"Six Chinese companies among them - China Road and Bridge Corporations Branch in Georgia, Hunan Road & Bridge Construction Group Co., Ltd Branch in Georgia, China Railway Tunnel Group Co., Ltd. Branch in Georgia, Constant Department (Branch) of China Railway 23rd Bureau Group CO., LTD, China State Construction Engineering Corp. Ltd. Georgia Branch, Guizhou Highway Engineering Group Co., Ltd Branch of Foreign Enterprise in Georgia - purchased up to 2000 contactless digital infrared thermometers," reads the statement.
